Question #1 - Ok, lets hear from you guys about the rate of games release and how it affects your gaming.

Let me know if one of the applies. I have added in an "Other" answer if needed.

1. HPS releases Napoleonic games at a rapid rate. There are so many scenarios in each title that I can't get to all of the scenarios before the next one comes out.

2. Just right - I get to savor each title before the next one comes out.

3. A tad slow. Probably could have more games come out per year.

4. TOO slow. Cant wait for the next one. Can never get enough.

5. Other (give your own answer if you like)

Question #2 - this one has to do with the time per turn.

Which turn rate do you favor?

1. Traditional 15 minute turns.

2. New 10 minute turns.

3. I like them both.

4. Neither. Would prefer 20 min. turns like the ACW series. Just keep the movement rate the same but have less turns per scenario as a result.

Question #3 - how cavalry is organized

Do you prefer the traditional regiments or do you like squadrons?

1. I prefer the traditional approach. Regiments are for me.

2. Squadrons.

3. Brigades. With the multiplier you could really deliver a devastating cavalry charge! (1600 plus size units)

4. Other.

Question #4 - Gun batteries

1. I prefer full batteries. No sections at all.

2. I like how Jena modeled the Russians - break down the batteries into sections but combine the howitzers into nothing less than 4 gun sections.

3. A section for each battery no matter how small the section.

4. Other. Something not listed above.

Question #5 - Size offered. Do the HPS games offer the right mix of scenario sizes?

1. Yes. Really like the mix.

2. Probably not enough small scenarios. Too many big battles.

3. Probably not enough large scenarios. Too many small scenarios.

4. No comment. Doesn't matter to me either way. Can play small, medium or large scenarios.

Question #6 - Play Balance - Which game do you feel is the most balanced in the series?

1. Eckmuhl Campaign

2. Napoleon's Russian Campaign

3. Wagram Campaign

4. Jena Campaign

5. Waterloo Campaign

Question #7 - which game is your favorite in the series? Use the above list for your response.

Questions #8 - We are trying to cover as many of the campaigns as possible but which campaign interests you the MOST?

1. 1805
2. 1807
3. Peninsular Wars
4. 1813 Germany
5. 1814
6. 1796-97 Italy
7. 1800 Italy and Germany
8. 1799 Italy and Switzerland
9. 1813 Italy
10. 1792-1795 German front
11. Russo-Swedish War 1808-09

Question #9 - what do you feel has been left out of our EXISITING games - name the battle or action that you feel should have been included (example: 1809 titles - Razyn - Poland vs. Austria) (thus do not list a game you would like to see be released - name the battle or action that you feel is missing from say Eckmuhl Campaign or Waterloo Campaign)

Question #10 - How much longer do you think you would play the HPS series if a superior game series came out?

1. Would continue to play them. I like the way that they model the period. Besides the club would continue to support them just like they do the BG series.

2. Probably would play them less often. Time is a factor and I cant play more than one or two games at a time anyway.

3. Would not play them anymore. Feel that the system has seen its day.

-----End of Poll------

Thanks much guys for buying and playing our products. Its been great working with many of you both in a playtest situation and interacting with you on the forum from time to time about our titles.

I am hard at work trying to get three more titles out the door. Hopefully you will see them all within a year's time. Not sure about the other side of the house but we will have plenty of titles out for you to play in the coming years.

Question 1 - Other. None have been released since I started playing.

Question 2 - I prefer the new 10 minute turns.

Question 3 - Regiments

Question 4 - Full batteries

Question 5 - I really like the mix.

Question 6 - Having only played Jena and Waterloo I would have to say that Waterloo seems more balanced.

Question 7 - Waterloo, largely because it is my favourite campaign, but also because I just prefer the way the scenarios are designed.

Question 8 - 1813 definitely.

Question 9 - Austerlitz seems like the major one that should be included.

Question 10 - Would continue to play them. The hex-based Napoleonic system is superior to anything else out there and I love the attempt at realism.

Just the answers of a new player.

Daniel - #9 is not "which game do you feel is left out" its "which battle or action in one of our existing games is left out."

hhmmm, eck, Waterloo, NRC, I am not too concerned with balance, more so historical situations and realistic waha ifs

favorite...do I have to pick? Eckmulh, but I really like them all for differnt reasons. Play NRC the least.

1813 (especially spring and the battles for Berlin)

left out, maybe the rest of the 1809 Italian CAmpaign, lots of smaller actions....could be its won campaign file linking Sacile to Piave +

I would still play them, maybe a little less (so my answer is 1.5), it is hard to say since I do not know of any other new game system in line. I like the Dragoon/Horse and musket games but it is too many clicks....

Q1 - 2 Just right (Just!)
Q2 - 1 15min, but happy with 10min too.
Q3 - 2 Sqns! Its how they acted!
Q4 - 4 Other. I like the sections but think an ammo wgn per bty is reqd! With each bty having a start amount of ammo then replenish from its ammo wgn (when adjacent only!)with a larger ammount available in that ammo wgn. Don't like the "instant" fix. Means arty are more historical i.e.Take up more ground and can run dry!
Q5 - 1 (Lets not get too imaginative [:o)])
Q6 - 4 Jena
Q7 - Waterloo, Jena, Eckmuhl.
Q8 - 3 Penninsular (but how do you factor in the gurilla war and disparity in intellegence/communications? Thats difficult!)
Q9 - The Battle of Antwerp ?? June 1815 (Like Corruna, but after Napoleons crushing victory against Wellington at Waterloo![:D])
Q10 - 2 But a better game system I do not see. Improve what you have!Rienforce success you fools!! [:)]

Question #1 - Ok, lets hear from you guys about the rate of games release and how it affects your gaming.

Let me know if one of the applies. I have added in an "Other" answer if needed.

3. Slow. Probably could have more games come out per year.

I think only one every few years is devastating the series and Clubs. Too many alternative out there now.

Question #2 - this one has to do with the time per turn.

Which turn rate do you favor?

2. New 10 minute turns.

Question #3 - how cavalry is organized

Do you prefer the traditional regiments or do you like squadrons?

4. Other. Regiments but force to break into squadrons for multiplier....regiment's easier to move...less hassle w/lots of units.

Question #4 - Gun batteries

1. I prefer full batteries. No sections at all.

Question #5 - Size offered. Do the HPS games offer the right mix of scenario sizes?

2. Probably not enough small scenarios. Too many big battles.

Question #6 - Play Balance - Which game do you feel is the most balanced in the series?

5. Waterloo Campaign

2. Napoleon's Russian Campaign

Question #7 - which game is your favorite in the series? Use the above list for your response.

Waterloo

Questions #8 - We are trying to cover as many of the campaigns as possible but which campaign interests you the MOST?

4. 1813 Germany
5. 1814
3. Peninsular Wars

Any of the rest are good too!

Question #9 - not sure

Question #10 - How much longer do you think you would play the HPS series if a superior game series came out?

4. Other - I think the system is good overall, but it needs to have some serious graphics improvements to stay relevant. A lot more Napoleonic options for gaming then there used to be. But for the type of game at regiment level use, I think it is pretty good.
