Napoleonic Wargame Club (NWC)

Gentlemen of all Arms!

Be advised that for his long and faithful service to Tzar and Motherland and takind into account his latest victories in MOE IV tournament General-Fieldmarshal Eugene Gulyaev was recently awarded with order of St. George I class. It is the first ever award with this order made in the Club.

In real world it was extremely rare and very valuable award. Only 37 orders were present until 1917 and only 16 awards were made by 1815 including Kutuzov, Barclay, Bernandotte, Blucher, Schwartzenberg, Wellington and Bennigsen awarded during Napoleonic wars.

Only 4 men were awarded with all four grades of the order (which is a norm for our in club award process). They are Kutuzov, Barclay, Paskevich and Dibich. It' interesting that Suvorov is not on this list. The thing is that for his outstanding perfomance he was awarded with 3rd class right away and could not receive his 4th class order.

So once again let us congratulate Eugene with this high achievement!
