A rather strange looking fellow walks into the Tavern. He is dressed in the beautiful Mamaluke uniform of the Old Guard and carries himself not unlike Lawrence of Arabia.

From the rather dowdy English corner of the tavern there is a few snickers and a quietly murmured 'look at that peacock buffoon'

The officer walks to the bar and empties his purse with bravado. He then turns to the onlookers aghast at his gaudy demeanor and announces.

'As the Emperor has seen fit to also add me to the Old Guard I shall purchase the whole tavern drinks and salute my comrades and congratulate them for there guard promotions also.'

'I shall even buy those rather dow looking English a drink'.

'Salute!'

With that newly festooned Grand Duc d'Austerlitz downed his drink in single gulp spilling a few drops on his brightly coloured pantaloons.
