Rich,

Sounds great. I'll be retired and living within 1.5 hours of Nashville by then.

For those who may want to make it into a longer trip, NASHCON is scheduled 22-24 May in Franklin, TN. NASHCON is hosted by the Historical Miniatures Gaming Society Mid-South of which I used to be a member. Here's the web page for those that may be interested. http://www.hmgs-midsouth.org/

Then there are all the ACW western theater battlefields within an easy drive such as Stones River, Perryville, Chickamauga, Shilo, Corinth, etc.

Oops! Those were the 2009 dates for NASHCON. The 2010 dates are 28-30 May 2010 at the Franklin-Cool Springs Marriott.

Great news!!

I plan on being there for the whole long weekend.

Hope to see a good turnout.

It is really great to sit across from your opponent while you are blowing away his troops.

So set aside Memorial Day weekend, 2010!

I hope to be there. Missed the last one (I graduated on the same night as Saturday of TC2). Just have to figure out how to get there and get the time off from the job I must have by then! [:p]

It would be great to preview a new game for you then. Or maybe play one of the newer titles I am working on should I actually get it out by then!

Jeff, this event is actually in conjunction with TillerCon...we'll be sharing floor space with them. There will be a minimal cross-over fee for TillerCon attendees that also want to do some mini's gaming.

Rich, that sounds like a real bargain. Was this coordinated or coincidental? Should be mutually beneficial.

I'll probably join HMGS Mid-South again since I'll be living in the heart of their region. I attended a couple NASHCONs in the 90's when they were held at a convention center in Smyrna. Some great games were put on. Last miniatures convention I attended was up in Gettysburg back in 2004(?).

"fight money"

Yes, that is what they call it in Ireland!

But Dean, I didn't think that Irish gals needed any monetary incentive to sock their husbands! (visions of Mareen O'Hara whalloping John Wayne in "The Quiet Man" flash through my mind)

I sure hope you can make it. We would have a bonny good time lad! [;)]

Hey, maybe if I leave right now hobo'ing it around the US I might get there in time! And no phone ringing telling me I have to be somewhere else!

Oh Mrs Amos, can Al come out and play? [;)][:p][:D]

It was an intentional cooperation - trying to reduce costs for all involved. HPS & Tiller are no longer able to "officially" sponsor this event, so costs had to be dramtically cut.

There will still be a ticket price, but with each paying atendee getting a free HPS game, it will be a minimal charge...think we're looking at a $65 charge per ticket at this point...

Napoleonics were doing pretty good last time I checked.

I also voted for THE REN and Squad Battles.

SB in particular is great for cons. You can get in alot of scenarios over a three day period.
