Could anybody remind me what the Options were when Embbedded was not used[?]

Art,

I think there is an Optional Rule within the game engine that messes game play up with the Embedded Melee system, if I recall reading some past threads correctly.

Referring to what Al says, it is partial retreats. I think that in Bill's games it is set so that you can't have Partial Retreats and No Melee Elimination checked at the same time. but in Waterloo you seem to be able to select them both.
