I have gotten comments on the cities on the maps I produce. Probably other maps in our games may also be commented on from time to time.

If you are interested in helping to review maps for accuracy that I do PRIOR to the game being released you can contact me and I will see about getting you a test CD.

I prefer to not have to make map changes after a product has gone out due to the fact that it affects games in progress.

If a river is not depicted correctly and I change it then units can end up in the water! Same goes for units in cities where HIGH walls get moved, chateaux hexes get added in, etc.

Dierk Walther was a great help in the Jena game map development. Unfortunately he was too busy to help with Austerlitz but his comments after it came out were very helpful. I will be making some changes to the large Augsburg and Ulm maps as a result of his input.

But I prefer to not make any changes at all if it can be helped. Its just causes too many issues with games in progress.

If you think you can be of service to us let me know. I do look up old city maps on the internet or in books to try and get the cities correct. Some of the older games I did probably have inaccuracies but going back to change them now is probably not something I want to do if it can be helped.

We are concerned about accuracy but also about play balance and other factors as well. If a river is off by one hex from where a bend is then it is not going to cause me to want to change its path.
