Hear Ye! Hear Ye! The battle smoke has drifted away and FM Jeka Gulyaev of the Russian Army stands undefeated to claim the title of Champion in the NWC's Master of Europe Tournament IV.

FM Gulyaev (playing French) defeated GdD Colin Knox (playing Russian) on a field in Prussia (Jena Campaign) to claim the title. Both of these officers played with great skill and honor through five rounds of the tournament before meeting on the final field.

FM Gulyaev joins only three others in holding the 'Master of Europe' title. For the record (and correct me if I am wrong) the previous champions are:

MOE 1 -- Marechal Jeff Bardon (France)
MOE 2 -- Marechal Tomasz Nowacki (France)
MOE 3 -- GM Konstantin Koryakov (Russsia);

and now

MOE 4 -- FM Jeka Gulyaev (Russia).

"Helga! Open the bar in honor of FM Gulyaev, and put it on the King's tab. Come one, come all, and drink to these talented officers."

My heartiest congrats to Jeka for a well earned victory. It would be interesting to see an after action report on the game.

Colin I am sure will be looking for a rematch in future MOE tourneys.

Why am I not surprised? Jeka is a killer player and any Allied member who wants to whine about a scenario being unbalanced should first play it with him (as the Allies) to see how he will carve you up!

Congrats Jeka! Looking forward to more games with you. :P

AND A BIG CONGATS TO MUDDY FOR ANOTHER FINE TOURNY MANAGED IN HIS USUAL SUPERB MANNER! 8)

Congratulations Jeka!

In fact I would be interested in every AAR for every Colin vs Jeka game.
What makes me wonder, is how on earth Colin managed to defeat Jeka in their “HPS Borodino no fixed” game – all within 13 turns? Did the French get some air support?

Well done Jeka, you should right a paper on tactics. (Only for Allies of course). :D

Congratulations, Jeka! Thank you for keeping the honors with the Allied Army where they belong.

I have never played, nor met, you to date, but am currently engaged against Colin at Austerlitz so I have some measure of your substantial ability by association. I would love to have a breifing on your tactics. I think it would benefit all of the Allied Officers. What about a posting in the Coalition Arms or even a paper as previously suggested? This would deny your great knowledge to our opponents, except for the ones that you personally vanquish in battle of course. Those brave Frenchmen will have actually paid the price for the lesson learned. :?

Congratulations Jeka on your title of MoE. Having faced you (and obviously lost) in the semi-finals, I can attest to your skill in offensive maneuvering.

Thank you to Muddy as well on another thoroughly enjoyable tournament.

Cheers!

Congragulations. But I am not surprised. One Russian general is worth a whole French Division. Jeka is worth the whole Grande Armee
