Do you got more firepower so you take more casualties if the supplies are close?
If so how close must the supplies be?

Not directly. The proximity of supplies only affects whether a unit that exhausts it's ammunition (fully/"no ammo", or partially/"low ammo") gets resupplied -- for this to occur the supply unit must be within 5 hexes. Of course, for the unit that is resupplied it does in fact increase the firepower back to normal.
