Napoleonic Wargame Club (NWC)

On a cool rainy morning, König Friedrich Wilhelm III stood on the steps of Sanssouci Palace in Potsdam. He was dressed in his full uniform. In front of him was thousands of Prussian soldiers & officers of the Armee. He was flanked by Prime Minister Hardenberg, General Scharnhorst and Blücher on one side. On the other was Generalfeldmarschall Reuter & Kronprinz Ludvig.

Blücher, who had been retired for a few years stepped forward to greet the Armee. He announced of the new Preußische Armee Merit Rewards system. The Jäger Orden, a marksman award, the Königin Luise Orden (Queen Louise Order) awarded for the capture of Napoleon. But most important, the Französisch Marschall Abschussprämie (French Maréchal Bounty), for the defeat of high level French Maréchal & General's on the field of battle.
