Short review ... but says a lot. One, the LG:HW game has had a lot of support and second there are still issues that need to be resolved (text issue would bother me). Also that for the size of the enterprise it has done as well as the "big boys."
I think what is sad is that MS is pushing us along at a maddening pace and at some point in time all of our games will have to hit the dinosaur pile. The internet forces us to upgrade our browsers thus making certain pages extinct. MS upgrades their OS to the point where hardware manufacturers and software folks have to go out of business trying to stay up with the Gates. Another thing driving the market is the constant demand by folks for better graphics. At what point do you call a halt? The XBox crowd in some part has contributed to this with PC vendors (both hardware and software) trying to come up with graphics that equal them. Good luck. XBox is like a gormet restaurant while the PC is like a smorgasbord.
There are times when I would love to play the old games like Aces of the Pacific and so on. The newer flight sims are far too detailed. I liked it best when I could just jump in the cockpit and fly any plane I liked (and Dynamix offered a ton of them for that game). Now the loading of the game takes forever and you are hindered by realistic factors to the point where flying is far too complicated. Again, the old "drive the market" with realism. At some point in time "realism" make a game unplayable. Food for thought ...
But glad to see that the game got a favorable review. Any other reviews you guys find please post here.
