Napoleonic Wargame Club (NWC)

Guys - last year about September, Dean Beecham dropped off of the internet. I emailed him a few times but knew that he was having health and work issues.

I sent a letter to him in June but so far no answer.

Hope you will pray for him that he and his family are ok. Dean works in construction but due to work issues was having to stay home a lot. Then he got in with the local fire dept. as a apprentice/volunteer. That is the last I heard of his situation. I will not divulge his surgery but it was not for cancer.

I miss him much - he was not only a reliable playtester and website manager but he was a good friend too. I urged him to use his artwork talent for HPS and he ended up putting the 3D work together some of the Ancient series and for REN/Musket & Pike series. Was really proud of his achievements and glad that I could encourage him into an area where while at home he could make a few bucks.

I will let you know if I find out anything. It is hard to lose any of us - this is a close group and we feel the loss of any of us from the club membership. I hope to hear something in the coming months and ... I hope that the leprechauns did not steal his letter!

For Club Games: I prefer the Single Phase mode of play. I prefer to play with the following options OFF:

MDF, VP4LC, NRO, MTD, CMR, PR, MIM, NDM, OMR (ver 4.07)

I miss Dean too. A great opponent and a really nice guy. I really hope he is ok too. I heard from him a few months ago and he was ok but just a had a lot on his plate. I really hope he makes it back soon.

I must honestly admit that I really do not know Dean Beecham, but I sincerely wish good health and good fortune to every officer in this club. We are all brothers in arms and to hear such respected officers expressing a common concern over another tells me that I have missed out thus far on meeting someone very special. In the meantime, like you, I will keep his family and him in my prayers and continue to hope that the news, when discovered, is nothing but good.

Oh good to hear that Tony. I was starting to wonder. Set my mind at ease a bit.
