May I take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and prosperous New Year. Let us come together in the spirit of good will to all men and share a few hours in each others company to eat, drink and be merry. I have secured a dozen crates of "Orkney Dark Island" ale, which have been stacked behind the bar of the Rhine Tavern. All are welcome to join me and partake of this rather excellent strong ale.

Thank you for your kind offer, General Morgan. Now whereas, I don't generally drink the darker ales, I will certainly make an exception in you case. It would be unsociable not to share a drink with a fine officer such as yourself and, as a general policy, I never pass up a free drink for any reason. To do so would only leave me behind by one for the remainder of my life, a situation from which you can never actually recover.
