Welcome to the mighty Anglo-Allied Army, Ensign Reid! Now tradition does have it that you will be buying all of the drinks today, which does include those of our thirsty adversaries. If you are lucky, Marechal Bardon will be otherwise occupied as he has a tendency to take the 'free Allied drinks' one keg of ale at a time. If you are not so lucky, then Major Maddis will be obliged to cover your outstanding bar tab. This will place you in an indebted posture relative to your commander, but look on the bright side, he is less likely to send you on suicide missions as your untimely demise would negatively impact your repayment of the debt.

Helga, a frosty mug of fine Belgian ale for me please. It is unseasonably warm outside today and the chilled beverage would be more suitable than my standard, caustic fare. No doubt other fine, Hanoverian officers will be along in due course to properly welcome you to our army, Ensign Reid. After all, free drinks are always a very popular item.

Alas, I lost my purse somewhere in Talavera whilst battling the French hordes. No doubt some rude French officer is enjoying the fruits of my error. But being the commander of an esteemed brigade has its benefits and I have already begun to garnish the wages of my ensigns to refill my new purse for future parties, er, endeavors.

No doubt though that the officers of my glorious brigade will reign supreme against this French incursion of Spanish soil, garnering their own riches and spoils of victory.

Onward men!

For Club Games: I prefer the Single Phase mode of play. I prefer to play with the following options OFF:

MDF, VP4LC, NRO, MTD, CMR, PR, MIM, NDM, OMR (ver 4.07)

Welcome Ensign Reid. Now if you would happen to find enough money to buy an old Field Marshall a drink to wet his throat he'd be able to tell you how to fend off the French using nothing more then a good salad fork. A Hedonator for me if the barkeep remembers the recipe.
