It is a warm June Morning at L'Ecole Militaire. On the Parade Ground stands the corps of cadets in formational and at attention. Uniforms cleaned, boots shined and all are looking smart.

About 20 paces in front of the line of Cadets is a long Oak table covered with purple cloth, trimmed in gold braid. On the table are several small boxes containing medals.

The eyes of the cadets look straight ahead with an occasional glance off in the direction of doors leading to the Ecole interior. The Cadets know that the Emperor is on the grounds for the awards ceremony.

The door opens and out comes the Emperors personal escort of the Old Guard with Monsieur le Marechal Bardon leading the two columns of the escort. The Emperor follows close behind with Marechal's Corbin and Jensen on either side, sharing a joke between them.

Close behind them is General Aitala, commandant of L'Ecole. He looks quickly about to ensure all is perfect for what is to come.

The Emperors escort makes a 2 line formation on the opposite side of the table with Marechal Bardon in Front.

General Aitala assumes a position in front of the line of Cadets.

The drums role... And Marechal Corbin steps up and begins.

"It is with the greatest of pleasure that I make the following presentation on behalf of his Majesty"

For his dedication to duty, self sacrifice in the service of the Emperor and while commandant of L’Ecole Militaire:

General Aitala is awarded the following medals

The Legion of Honor

And L’Ordre de Napoleon

Congratulations General

The word of the award ceremony has spread among the encampments of La Grande Armee.

On behalf of the Battalion Tirailleurs du Po, "Congratulations to General Aitala!"

Mon Marechals, Cadets of the Ecole!

It is with great pleasure that I have just learned to have been awarded of the Legion of Honor and L’Ordre de Napoleon!
I am touched for such an honor, for such a ceremony, something incredible to remember as the most important moment of my life in the Club.
First of all I would like to say thanks to all the HQ staff who always trusted me in these months, allowing me to conduct the Ecole, encouraging me when I felt depressed or tired.
Most of all, I would like to thank all the Ecole trainers officers. Without their help the Ecole would have never reached the todays results: Ecole trainer officers, these medals of mine are yours!
Thanks again to you all!!
