I am Michael Kinney newly assigned to the Spanish Brigade. My sword is ready to be drawn against the French.

I studied art at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and spent many hours studying the ecthings of Goya. Started gaming with the Avalon Hill board games. I spend a lot of my time reenacting. My Napoleonic impressions are 78th Highlanders Ross-Shire Buffs and 1st Royal Scots.

Welcome to the finest army in the NWC, sir! 8) 8) 8)

I must say that is a magnificent uniform you are wearing in the photo. I feel certain that Field Marshal Nelms will be along soon to cast an admiring glance and regale you with the deadly effect of a salad fork when properly weilded astride a charging steed!

As for me, well I spend most of my time in this tavern, either prosecuting the massive amounts of paperwork required to keep our army in the field, or drinking myself into a drunken stupor with some of my very good friends from both sides of this wretched war while listening to the melodious crooning of Der Wurger, whom you have yet to meet. And speaking of drinking, Helga two shots of Jager if you please and two of Scotch, all on the young officer's tab! Your first challenge tonight will be to drink your army's Staff Adjutant under the table. It is a test of bravery, sir, I assure you.

Welcome to the NWC! But alas you chose the wrong army. Please do not let the Mad Hanoverian corrupt you to much...

Battle On....

Well it warms my heart to see a well dressed lad join us though I'm not sure how you ended up with our Spanish Allies. Let's sit and drink on Brigadier Jones and I'll tell you about the time I was cornered by a squadron of Polish Lancers and me with nothing but a cask of port., a deck of cards, and my trusty salad fork.

Welcome, it is a fashionable uniform indeed I am sure the ladies are fond of it

But let us be blunt,

The red frock and knees will be badly scraped and torn as an introduction to warfare versus the French.

Kind regards,

Welcome, good sir.

'Tis indeed a pity, your oh so lamentable choice for enlistment. But, the allies do always seem to need to replenish their ranks after the Grande Armee has scattered their feeble, decimated ranks, so perhaps if you keep your head low and don't stand too close to any prominent targets, like the good Brigadier or Field Marshall, you may survive and gain advancement.

It's an old tradition, but a good one, so I believe the night's libations are on your tab. Helga, 2 of the usual if you please.

Cheers!

Welcome young sir and thank you, I will partake of a brandy ( at your expense ) at Marechal Bardon's table.

While I have a soft spot for the highlanders, I must echo my fellow French comrades that you have joined the wrong army.

No doubt you were swayed by copious amounts of the cheap swill offered to you by certain allied "officers".

Once your head clears and you see the error of your ways, pleae join the French.

Marechal Corbin, so good to see you!

Pray tell how you're doing in leading the Empereur's efforts in the far east.

Helga, please ensure the good marechal's cup is never empty, and yes, keep charging it to the Senor Kinney.

Cheers!

Welcome to the club Michael, and of course your choice of armies was proper and correct. As you have no doubt noticed the braggerts in the corner dressed like peacocks (but making fine targets) would be the French.

The welcoming occuring in the tavern were disrupted by loud footstomping occuring near the front door. All eyes turned to see an officer, clad in a Jagers uniform, looking at the floor and stomping his feet. "Ach, you kan run, aber, you cannot hide [stomp], Ach, eins mere meine cockroach!" Suddenly, feeling the eyes of so many General Officers upon his back, as it is a good instinct for one to have, the officer stopped his odd behavior, stood to attention, performed and about face, and rendered honors to the assembled officers.

Yes Kinder, Der Wurger is in der Haus

My, my, my, ve haf zo many General Offizers present, was ist los? :(
Ach, a new offizer has come to der tavern :D und he is in Der Spanish Armee  vell, you cannot have everything, Welkommen, Welkommen mein Herr! :D Helga, Helga, outside is a wagon mit French wine, bring it in for all to share :D :D

My, my, it is much too quiet in here? This is to be a celebration :D und, ve all know how to bring smiles to our faces  Ja, ja, erst Ich muss my whistle wet. Ah, danke Helga, und spater? Wunderbar!

Now, where was I :?

:D :D :D
