Salute Officers Of the LGA and NWC

The IV Corps has 21of its 31 officers ready to battle for the Emperor Napoleon and France.
Eleven of our officers are engaged in battle with coalition forces fighting 19 different battles.

The IV Corps also had one promotion:

To all who shall see these presents, Greetings, Know ye that reposing special trust and confidence in the abilities of Mssr. Adam Nosko, we do hereby appoint him to the rank of Capitaine, to be given every respect and privilege of that rank and to be subject to and under the orders of L'Empereur.

The Corps detailed Battle Reports available in Pierre's Tavern

The 2012 SON Tournament MP Division is starting with many battles and a number members taking on multiply battles.
Please keep turns moving so we can complete all battles by the deadline.

A toast to the valiant officers of IV corps and especially to our newly promoted Capitaine Nosko and Chef de Battalion Hoedl!

Helga, please provide these fine officers and the good Colonel another round of their favorite libation on my tab in tribute to their contributions to Corps and Armee.

Cheers! And to repeat the oft cited words of our corps chef d'etat.... "Battle On!"

Ah, it is always a wonderful time in the Rhine Tavern when we French officers can celebrate the promotions of our fellow comrades-in-arms!

To Capitaine Nosko, Adam, salute! Looking forward to having you at my side in the looming R&H Eckmuhl in One Battle vs the 2nd Grenadier Div of the Russian armee.

To Michael, salute as well, sir! I know you like a fine glass of wine, so let me open a bottle (Helga, be a sweet dear, and tear yourself away from that endless ferrying of jager to the Hanoverian table, and bring us a good bottle please).

One question though, chef d' etat Kling, I thought Michael, though an outstanding member of our band of Tirailleurs et Dragons! is actually assigned to the V Corps? Has there been a transfer?

Regards,

My mistake, I spend so much time communicating with him as a Tirailleurs et Dragon I had one of the senior moments.

thanks for pointing out my error

But my congratulations Michael Hodl none the less!!!!

Congratulations to Adam and Michael on their recent promotions!

Thanks, for the public update, Al. Most appreciated. I did somehow miss the reference to Michael in your original post, so I suspect you fellows are crossing over with information that was previously shared in Pierre's. :? :? :?

Gen Dumas, sir,

Currently, Roy Purcell, a fine member of the Tirailleurs et Dragons! is engaged with your GenMaj Stotsenburgh in a Jena Campaign battle.

Perhaps at some point, the Black Menace and the Tirailleurs et Dragons! could face one another, in a campaign from the same game, say, Six Days, All the Prussians, variant?
Would be interesting to see what would occur on such a fantastic large map, with the full Prussian armee (no help from the Russians in this one).

But, that will have to wait a bit longer, as the SON II Tournament is underway, and many of us are playing multiple games  .
Also, the Tirailleurs et Dragons! are about to begin a campaign in R&H Eckmuhl in One Battle vs the 2nd Grenadier Div of the Russian armee. Look for a thread to start soon on that one (my my, won't the friendly scribe be busy in the coming days).

Regards,

Nice to see the French army reasserting itself in the tavern.

No more will the allied lackies have the run of the roost.

Or perhaps someone else did!

Sorry, Al, I seem to have 'mucked up' your fine recruitment post a bit, although I would actually have to consider it to be 'enhanced'.

Not so, the more we post on it the more it gets looked at, and my post is first and has much more imagination in it.
There will be more to come in the future, so we will continue to have more fun in the Rhine Tavern.

Battle On...

What is this? The Rhine Tavern going out of business? Monsieur! Mademoiselle! Quickly, a round of drinks for the administrator's here, who are surely working up a thirst with all of this talk!

Fear not, my good adversary, as long as this establishment stocks Jagermeister, and there is a breath left in this old, Hanoverian body, there is no danger whatsoever of it going out of business! :P

Unless, of course, the Empire of France runs out of wagonloads of gold that we Hanoverians routinely capture to pay for our libations.

I think you are a bit confused, the gold you keep taking belongs to the Austrians and Prussians so I hope you are giving it back to them.

Imagination? Oh, I get it. You mean like the idea that La Cafard de la Corsica could actually prevail in the end! Yes, I must certainly credit you with more imagination on that one, Colonel. Very imaginative indeed!

I love you, Al. You know that I am just messing with you, but I am afraid that I really do need to drop of of this forum for a bit. I seem to have some Frenchmen to kill in Russia, and a British Field Marshal that is impatiently tapping his foot while glaring in my direction.
