Just to take a quick tally, My partner and I, as of yet, haven't received the first turn from our French opponents. Is there any other groups out there who haven't gotten underway either??

Regards.

Have you tried PM or direct email to your opponents?

As with so very many things, communication is the key. Everyone needs to be playing the MP battle of the tournament at a very consistent pace of about a turn every other day. It does require some degree of discipline to accomplish, and any delays are directly magnified by the number of players involved. That is what made our Hanoverian Brigade Challenge match rather complex to administer. We had eight people playing at the same time. I do encourage others in the club to try it, but you really must have a collection of disciplined and interested officers to play, and a very active leader on both sides of the game to keep things moving. It is not at all an easy thing to undertake, but I am very glad for the experience my Hanoverian officers, the officers of France who opposed us, and I personally gained through doing it.

Establish direct contact with your opponents, Gary, if you have not already done so. If a problem still remains, I will get involved to help move things along.

Not going to win anyway? Get in there and fight! if the French fight hard, you fight harder! If the French start crying, you cry harder! As the Spartan women would say to their men,"come home a winner or come home on your shield"! or something like that, I really can't remember

And that Spartan woman from 300 was fairly hot I thought.

I also love the scene where the Persian emperor invites the Spartan king to share in his great empires culture, (following the savage battle of the morning).

The Spartan king responds by saying

"did you not notice we have been sharing our culture with you all morning!"

A quite arty film.

The 300 is a good movie, a little too comic booky to me though. Have you ever seen the Finnish movie called"The Winter War"? Now that's a good war movie.

regards
