No, no, Marechal Corbin, we want more! Surely there are medals for victories, medals for service, medals for training, well all kinds of medals yet to bestow. We seem to have literally years of medals to award.

Particularly absent thus far are the Mascara Medal, the Medal of the Gaudily Coiffed, the Magnificent Mirror Medal, the Empyreal Order of Perfume, the Legion d'Croissant, literally millions of wonderful French medals yet to bestow!

Seriously though, as long as you can compose the posts, this Hanoverian officer will be glad to read them. Congratulations to each and every officer so honored here today! {or perhaps in the week or so that it may require for all officers to be properly recognized}

Honestly glad to see this happening, John. I really am, and I fully appreciate the work involved to make this a reality for your men. :P :P :P

Cliff, you would have received the Legion d'Honneur Grand Commander, the same as Marechal Bardon:

Cliff, I do not perceive the current medal awards to represent any discrimination or persecution against your person. I don't think these medals had been awarded to anyone for a very long time. It speaks to me as possibly a rather serious administrative failure than any form of personal abuse. I really do not see this as being personal in any manner.

It is my hope that we can resolve this seemingly large backlog of awards and move forward together into a future where all of the administrative duties of our club are kept current and properly maintained.

What is now being accomplished is a forward step for LGA and our club. You should never accost a man for making a mistake. We all make them and they are the greatest measure by which wisdom is attained. It is not the making of a mistake that is important. It is the manner in which it is handled afterwards that matters, as well as the lesson truly learned.

LGA is making a very fine attempt to correct an oversight for the benefit of thier men and I, for one, fully support and applaud their fine efforts in this regard.

You have not had 2,500 points for 12 years either. I have to admit that I possess no real knowledge pertaining to what medals previously existed for LGA. Perhaps this is not a backlog at all. Perhaps these are all brand new medals that are being released for the very first time. I do know that LGA has not generally awarded medals in public in the 2 1/2 years that I have been here. It is possible that they had secret meetings to do so. Maybe all of thier officers are, and have always been, up to date in the receipt of thier medals. Maybe they really all do just hate you Cliff.

For my money, based on what I have seen throughout this club, I would bet much heavier on the side of simple neglect than racial hatred or personal vendetta.

If these are long established LGA awards, I will fully support them being added to your French Officer Records.

If these are brand new awards that were only created after you transferred to the Prussian Army, then you are really not entitled to them.

When Marco finally runs me out of the Anglo-Allied Army, I am sure he will create a beautiful new "We Finally Got Rid of That Damned Hanoverian" Medal and award it to every single officer in the army except for me. Upon seeing the award, Chuck and Scott will likely do the same. It's OK though, because I wouldn't want that damned medal anyway.

Now, a bit more to the point, you are a fine Prussian officer now, so what these beguiled Frenchmen do with their baubles and ribbons is really of no great consequence . We are Coalition officers and, as such, have the very best opportunity of all to collect these French medals.....off the very chests of our victims.

God Save The King!

The LGA is just now getting back on track with a lot of missed items like medals.

Do not take anything personally Cliff, no slight was intended.

Mark is right, you did not always have 2500 points and the legion of honor was recently expanded to the medals you saw today.

When we reorganized the imperial guard and changed the point requirements, I lost my young guard command.

I did not get upset, these are only games.

I did not rant in the taverns, these are only games.

I simply accepted it and kept on gammng.
