Monsieur le Marechal Corbin is sitting at a table by the fire. Few officers are about. It is a cool night but clear.

He is reading some papers and catching up on some overdue paperwork for the headquarters staff. His writing materials are in the table.

He pours himself a glass of fine red wine and eats some soft fresh bread. A piece of cheese follows soon after.

Monsieur le Marechal Bardon strolls in and assumes the seat opposite.

"Monsieur le Marechal Corbin, I assume this seat is not taken?"

"Monsieur le Marechal, no, please have a seat"

"Monsieur le Marechal, would you care to partake of this particularly wonderful wine?"

"Monsieur le Marechal, that is an excellent vintage," Monsieur le Marechal said.

"Why Monsieur le Marechal, it should be as I borrowed it from Monsieur le Marechal Palomo's private stock of cordon rouge to honor both your awards of the Commander Star as well as Monsieur le Marechal Derwinski's elevation to the marshallate as announced by Monsieur le Marechal Jensen."

Throughout the exchange, Helga and the other serving girls of the tavern stood awestruck, basking in the presence of les marechaux, a position to which no title or award in any army could compare.

Perhaps the Emperor had a sudden urge for caviar and vodka?

Cliff

Even if you had been awarded the legion of honor medals while you where in the LGA, you would have lost them once you transferred over to Prussians.

Section 4.3 of the club rules

John is correct, Cliff. Coalition officers do not wear French medals for the simple reason that French medals are awarded for the demise of Coalition officers, something that we in the Coalition certainly neither celebrate nor proclaim.

The Prussian medal system is by far the most prolific medal system in our club. You have certainly made a wise decision as to your choice of an army where beautiful medals can be earned in abundance. I would ask that you embrace your new army and strive to earn some fine new medals that will not clash with your present uniform. :P :P :P

If you want to be a Coalition officer and have us embrace you as such, which we are fully willing to do, you will have to firmly set in your mind the idea that you actually are a Coalition officer, and conduct yourself accordingly. I expect that your Army and Unit Commanders will fully support this concept.

We Coalition officers do not wear perfume, mascara, rouge, lipstick or lingerie like our French adversaries, and we certainly don't wear their wretched medals either.

God Save the King, Cliff!

The Corsican Roach can be remanded directly to Hades.

Cliff, they look fabulous, now please remove them. You have to let go Cliff! I would appreciate no more talk in the forums about your French army past, look to the future.

Thanks Cliff, Not too worry, Scott Ludwig never gets outdone in the medal department! Once Scott gets back from vacation and gets our website sorted out i would expect a major medal ceremony.

regards
