How can I adjust the dimensions of my medals in my signature, and also get rid of the white background :?:

Bruce,

You need to resize them in a graphics program and then save them as .gif format. This format also allows you to assign one of the colours in the palette as transparent, which is useful for making the background invisible. I sometimes fill the background in in a colour that won't be used elsewhere in the image, like luminous green or something like that, so you know exactly what will end up being transparent. You then assign that colour as the transparent one. Different programs will have different ways of doing this, and sometimes you assign the transparent colour when you come to save, but it is the same principle. Even simple freeware programs like IrfanView can perform these tasks in a basic way.

Bruce,

I'm not sure that the forum's BBcode will allow you to define the size an image is displayed at (like html does on normal webpages). You'll have to investigate that. But to get a transparent background you'll need to save as .gif format with transparent colour.
