Hi all

Currently I am playing a game with the embedded melee rule and I'm in doubt
about the correct cavalry management. This is the situation : I moved all my units
in order to prepare the melee phase, started the melee phase and as result of one
melee some enemy unit retreated in a hex adjacent to my cavalry, My question is :
is the cavalry eligible to melee the enemy units ?

Thanks

Yes, you can do it if not additional movement have you do it to start melee against this pushed away ( in previous melee) units. In this case it's correct. You can do it. You have to notice also that if we use MOE IV embebed melee rules there is a dfference between all melee and third charging cavalry attack, but I don't care about it so hard.

Yes. This is ok. Too late to initiate a charge however. The cavalry must have already been in the charge mode. They can melee in normal mode though.

The cavalry has been moved in charging mode before the embedded melee phase
It has been moved in a precise hex expecting the enemy units to retire in that hex
during the melee phase

thanks for support

Hi,
That means you have planned your charge quite well, if after first melee enemy units was pushed to the front of charging cavalry. Well done :)

Hmmm, who are all these contemplative and thoughtful Frenchmen, Sir Muddy? Even their 'youth' are becoming more dangerous it would seem. :o
