The tavern door opened, and in rushed a blast of cold air. Most of the tavern goers turned to see who entered but with a quick look they could see it was but a peasant.

The peasant made straight way to the table of the Hanoverians who were gathered and intently listening to a song being sung by an fellow officer. The man whispered something into the ear of the General who with one sweep of his hand, grabbed the drawing from the peasants hand.

Looking at his fellow officers, he smacked the paper to the table and muttered, "See now, the Little Tyrant has started to issue new uniforms to his officers, Look at this drawing of the Grand Duck d'Austerlitz et Comte d'Argentan, General Knox! How dashing he looks in his new duds!"

Hmm, such somber attire is more befitting the Prussian Armee is it not?
Certainly not that of the esteemed dandy, err, Peacock of La Grande Armee, eh?

But I do wish to commend your obvious talents in graphic postings die Ratte.

Should the Tirailleurs et Dragons! ever have need of a tailor, we will send a squire to the Hanoverian encampment.

Somber though the attire appears, it certainly would prove more battle worthy, when engaged against the famed Jagers of your brigade.

Now virtually every New Zealand man dreams of wearing one of these one day. This really is a dear subject to me.

I won't even buy a supporters one as I have always felt they should be earn't.

Alas I am 47 and have long since hung up the boots so this dream has faded.
But fortunately the glory of the black jersey has not. It remains feared as it should be.
