Gentlemen Officers of the NWC:

It was pointed out to me that neither JTS Campaign 1814, nor JTS Campaign Bautzen, had been officially adopted into our Club as titles which we play. We have rectified this oversight by an official vote of the Cabinet, with both titles being unanimously accepted. Nothing more than a 'paperwork' issue which does not affect your games, but I just wanted to keep you informed. This action will also be reflected in the Cabinet Minutes for March 2013.

Marco will make the appropriate corrections to the Recruitment Forms.

Hope you are all having fun 'killing' each other on the electronic battlefields of our historical past. If there is anything that we can do to improve your experience in our club, just let us know. We gladly accept your suggestions. That is why we are here, to serve you.

General Masson:

All members may certainly engage in the H&R/R&H games created by our Russian officers. As these are only modifications of the JTS game system, and cannot operate outside of the copyrighted JTS game engine, they are not something that we would 'officially' adopt as a club. The difference really lies in the copyright and their independent function. The H&R/R&H work plays radically different from the stock JTS version, but in the end, it remains a modification and cannot function independently of JTS. I think it would be fantastic if the H&R/R&H mods, with all of their associated house rules, could be programmed into a game engine. I have stated this to Vladimir Repnin in the past.

When H&R/R&H is programmed to run off their own copyrighted game engine, I will be the very first person to advocate the adoption of this work by the NWC.

My sincere compliments to all of the H&R/R&H developers. To have a member even pose this question is a tribute to the fine efforts you have made in the interest of our hobby.

Salute!

If I understand this issue correctly Einar, you can still register any of these H&R/R&H games that you play with the DoR, you simply find the original file (battle) that was modified - if that was the case... and in comments simply put that it is the mod version.

For example, I am playing R&H Eckmuhl in One Battle (see thread on this battle elsewhere in the Rhine Tavern), and registered it as a version of the HPS scenario Eckmuhl in One Battle.

However, there does remain the question of what to do with their stand alone scenarios that do do not have a HPS/JTS version (I know that R&H has a number of such scenarios without a counter-part).

Is there a way to register these games Mark?
If I recall, when Bill Peters had players (me among them) play test new scenarios yet to be added through game updates I believe you simply added the title into the DoR.
This was a battle called Razyn I believe.

Regards,
Todd

I am very glad to add any H&R or R&H scenarios into our DoR System. I have added several in the past at the request of Anton. If you go to the DoR System with the intention of registering a H&R Scenario, simply type "H&R" and a list of all such scenarios that I entered will pop up.

Thanks for sending the NRC Scenarios to me, Vladimir. Are all of these R&H versions? I need to know so that I can properly preface their registry in our DoR System so that they will be more easily retrieved by you fellows who are looking for them. It will not take me very long to get them into the system. I just need to know what type they are (i.e. H&R, R&H, or HPS) so that I can enter them correctly.

Vladimir, it actually only took me about 15 minutes to enter all of the scenarios that you sent to me into the DoR System. I prefaced all of the entries with "R&H". Please let me know if any of those scenarios are of any other type and I will make the necessary corrections to the registries. Also let me know if you find any mistakes that I made in my entries, and I will be glad to correct them as well.

I am also missing your R&H Eckmuhl in One Battle design. If you will send me the files for that scenario, and any others that you want to have registered, I will take care of it for you.
