David French and I are playing this scenario as the first fight in a Waterloo Campaign. The weather is clear but I have found that I cannot fire muskets. What parameter do we need to change to fix this? Sorry if this was posted before.

Dear Red Nemesis you cannot fire muskets because you are English of course. The game engine has had this worthy update for all who venture out from the perfidous albion and dare to challenge the might of the glorious empire of France.

The ai can now tell which army in the club you belong to - its an exciting new feature.

You will also find in later scenarios your guns can't fire and you infantry if within 10 hexes of French cavalry cannot form square. There are also a range of other very good historical adjustments such as the british guards morale has been positioned where it should be at E- and Wellington's leadership at Z.

Helga a round for the General!

Sir,
I played this scenario as a single game (as Prussians side) and having no problems with firing. A moment ago I opened the same battle from campaign menu and it was the same - all is fine. I suggest to open using Notepad a campaign.btc file and check what is the name of .pdt file. There should be
waterloo_campaign_new.pdt with clear weather all first day. If there is everything correct with .pdt file maybe is the matter of update, but I have no idea why.
Regards

Well done Adam please skewer  this field marshal for me and ensure this Nemesis indeed wakes up in a pool of red.

Now mr field kitchen blackbird I will have you know I am not a a peahen! Despite your witty suggestion to the contrary
I know this for sure as peahens are very plain looking which inclines me to think they must be English not French.

Helga another round for the field Marshall please and also for the carrier of the official French skewer.

Best of luck to you, Adam. Although we have never crossed swords ourselves, I know you to be a most competent officer. :) :D

I have crossed swords with Ed several times during our playtesting of the 1814 title. I can say with absolute certainty that he is a very, fine gentlemen and, no matter the final outcome, the two of you are destined to have a most enjoyable game. :D :P

Salut!!
I agree with your opinion about my noble opponent. I let myself to read some of his post ( intelligence is very important for achieving victory :D ) and you are definitely right. But just in case, I will comply with the comment which in one of the posts posted Art Ozols about using the F-16 to balance the battle. We've got some in Poland now so I consider, if my friends in Polish Air Forces will agree to lend one of them ..., no - two for some time.
