As the Club President:

Welcome, gentlemen! Very glad to have you with us and I hope your games in this club are fun and rewarding. :P :P :P

As the Hanoverian Officer:

Hmmmppf! Two more Parisian dandies parading about in their nicely pressed uniforms and perfumed hair. You misguided 'gentlemen' would be better served by laying your decorative swords on the table of a brave Coalition officer and going back home before you get hurt.

"nicely pressed uniforms and perfumed hair"
Why didn't I see it!!?? One of my riflemen had the Sous chef LT Hornsby in his sights but thought it was one of his dandies that accompany him into battle and didn't take the shot. He was raised not to harm the weaker sex. But if he had, my beleagured troops would have been better off now. Damn him and his tactical ways!

On the other hand, congratulations to you both and may you bring honor and just a little distinction to your Army.

Welcome Mark and Carlos to the club, and specifically to La Grande Armee!

I have already enjoyed reading the battle of posts you have been in Mark (with the equally brash ensign Bradshaw), and believe you will have a fine career here at the NWC.

And it has been my pleasure to serve as Carlos' trainer in the Ecole Militaire, and I'm very much looking forward to watching you take the fight to the Coalition upon the battle maps.

I salute you gentlemen, may you bring glory to L'Empereur's eagles!

Regards,

Thank you, gentlemen. It's a pleasure to become a member of this club.

I must say it has been great to be taught by Monsieur Schmidgall, who has been my trainer this last weeks. I have learned a lot from him and I think I'm ready to serve the French Empire against its foes.

VIVE L'EMPEREUR!

Welcome.

Some general advice:

  • Shoot Hanoverians on sight, especially if they appear to be warming up for singing and because their leader appears to have adopted a split personality
  • Carry some extra vodka with you at all times, very good for distracting Cossacks that seem to multiply like rabbits in the 1813 campaigns
  • If an enemy officer on an angry horse (or is it horse and angry officer, I get them mixed up at times) shows up at the tavern covered in mud, just stay out of his way. It's better for all involved

To your future victories. Cheers!
