Gentlemen,

recently I had the honor and the pleasure to welcome a new ensign in the KGL.

Now I have the honor and the pleasure to congratulate this man to his promotion to the rank of 2nd Lieutenant!
And to congratulate twice as he has earned the Military General Service Medal!

Well done, 2nd Lieutenant Tony Barrett!

Congratulations on your first medal, Tony. I know it does not seem fair that you get the satisfaction of defeating a French officer on the field of battle and are awarded a medal as well. It makes it twice as good really. :P :P :P

Very glad to have you in our mighty Anglo-Allied Army. Also very glad that you are active in our forums as well. It is always good to see members who regularly post as these are the actions that keep our forums alive and viable. :wink: :P :mrgreen:

Now it is almost a certainty that another Marechal of France will wander into the tavern in a bit and chide you on your choice of service. Please show him a bit of mercy as his head was grazed by a cannonball at Wagram, apparently causing him to miss the most salient point about the inevitable outcome of our current confrontation...........we won! :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:
