To his left, a drummer assumed that a large enough group had gathered and waited.

Assembled officers of la Grande Armee, today is a day to celebrate. One of your fellow officers has proven himself worthy on the field of battle. He has met the stringent requirements of victory and service, and as a reward, is hereby inducted into the ranks of la Moyenne Garde.

General de Brigade Comte Pete Russo, congratulations!

You have earned your passage in to the brotherhood of la Garde Imperiale. Henceforth you are entitled to the use of the Garde insignia in your correspondence and shall be styled Comte d'Alexandrie.

Sir, you are hereby granted command of the Dragons de l'Emperatrice.
