Looking for feedback on the two games I don't own yet. Any smaller scale battles in these titles? Is it true that 1814 is rather slanted towards the French? Thanks.

Of the two, Bautzen is better in my opinion. It has the option for the full 1813 campaign - although I defy anyone to go beyond the third scenario. 1814 does seem rather skewed in some scenarios, some certainly in the allied favour...but the scenarios are generally not epic-sized and the campaigns are pretty manageable as well.

Bigger battles in the Bautzen game to include Bautzen and Lutzen. If you like small to midsized battles 1814 is excellent but yes there are some unbalance scenarios as there are on all the games.

I agree with what both Andy and Ed have said. One other thing about 1814 is that a lot of the battles are fought in mud. Historical to be sure, but rather different in your play. I typically prefer fighting under the sun, although not necessarily the Austerlitz version of it with which our French adversaries are so enamoured. :P
