Purchased a new Dell in December last year unfortunately my hard drive crashed on March 17th, due to get it back from Dell Tuesday. This combined with the season starting for the D-Backs, This is my first weekeknd and day of since March 14th (I work @ Chase Field) has brought my communications to a standstill. Hope to be back in action on a more regular basis next week

Thank you

Were you able to recover your data, Art?

Negative Dell does not save any data, but do have a back-up, so according to Dell, I should be able to reload my computer to what I had prior to the crash. I bought an All-in one XPS 27, really like it hope I have no further issues going forward

Working off my old 8 year old Dell I had to put back together, for now

Back ups are the KEY. With EXTERNAL hard drives with massive storage and that are reasonable in price, it is the best solution, IMO, especially with your current setup.

I have had Dell's for some time, now, and they have excellent service. I, actually, had them at my house, twice, for relatively minor laptop part replacements.

Good luck.

My company uses Dell as well, although I have lost a hard drive myself in the past. Ernie is absolutely correct that an external hard drive is very affordable and an excellent way to backup your system.

Very glad to hear you had a backup, Art. Backing up one's system regularly is a critical habit to develop, and unfortunately, one in which I could personally stand to improve.
