I have all the Tiller and HPS titles, and was wondering if people could throw out some good suggestions as to balanced and/or interesting Campaigns or large map battles to try out.

Frankly, I have really only played the Leipzig title (which I love) and have tried Waterloo. What about the other titles?

Thanks,
Tim

Salute!

I am very fond of the Austerlitz title, for the campaign menu scenario: Campaign in Moravia (?) which features a large scale operational version of the Battle of Austerlitz.

There is also a battle in that game from the Italian theater (a what if...?) that is called Napoleon in Italy.

Eckmuhl has some very interesting scenarios in it as well, offering very good alternative versions of many of the important battles, that will increase the opposing strengths.

My hands down personal favorite are the several alternative versions of the Six Days from Jena-Auerstadt.

That battle map is my absolute favorite of the series - a masterpiece in my opinion.

Along with the Karlsburg Battle from the same game.

Regards,

Eckmuhl Campaign on the large map is probably my favourite.

Thanks guys. I too have heard good things about both Eckmuhl and Jena.

Which particular scenario in Eckmuhl Campaign is on the 'large map'? Is it fairly play-balanced?

What about Jena Campaign ('Six Days' & 'Karlsburg')? Which one is best, and most play-balanced? Any particular scenario, or Campaign option?

Cheers,
Tim

Hi Tim
Yes I think the large map Jena one's are excellent. Also Waterloo of course but this is a little unbalanced and the large map version of Austertlitz (as Todd said) 250 turn Moravia I think it is.
I actually really enjoy historical Austertlitz as well just because the map is so large and variables are plentiful and the sides very balanced.
regards
