A pox on both your houses! But congratulations on your victories, from a soldier's point of view...

Viva Espana! We, of the Iberian point of view, have a perspective of the fighting from all sides, as we have fought on all sides.

The victories of La Grande Armee? I must admit to not being very familiar with that particular concept. It is always amazing to me that the Officers of France can be so blinded by the delusionsal ramblings of their self appointed god of war. All glory is fleeting, gentlemen. Your victories are but a passing fad. As students of history, we all know how this ends. You are accomplishing nothing except the chasing of your own tails. :frenchcharge: :frenchcharge: :frenchcharge: :frenchcharge: :frenchcharge: :frenchcharge:

It is probably best that you start reciting "Vive le Roi", as you are going to need to know that phrase by heart again in the not so distant future.

Actually I have not found my or my colleagues victories to be a passing fad :frenchcharge: nor indeed I would wager has Marechal Bardon. :frenchsalute: :frenchvive1:

Bah, humbug! A pox on the French victories I say.

:french???: :french???: :french???:

In my four year tenure in our club, there have been two tournaments of honor to determine whether the French or the Coalition officers ruled the battlefields. In both cases, the Coalition officers emerged victorious. We sport the medals on our uniforms as proof of our martial prowess.

Perhaps we should humor you poor officers of France, and conduct yet another contest whereby our martial prowess can be put on public display. After all, the third time is the charm.

I do indeed! The "naked horse" to which you refer was my good friend and companion for twenty-five years. As I recently lost him in April, Herr Ratte has been kind enough to place him in a position of honor in my signature.

:frenchsalute:

In truth, Colonel Ellwood, it is the splendid Dragoon Guardsman who charges above my "naked horse" with whom you should truly be concerned.

Thank you, Colonel, for your sincere condolences regarding my equine friend.

Ah, a Freudian slip. I said nothing at all about fear. :scottishduh:
