I think we were complimenting - not encouraging!

I would hope that they both enjoyed the contest and cameraderie more than any aspect of winning, losing, or learning. I hope they both had fun, while strengthening a friendship founded on common ground.

I sure hope so, that is what it should be about!

It's so bon to heard that the leadership is not interested in winning games. But the enjoyment of playing and having fun. I am very impress, so I guess they are not going to post that this or that officer won a smashing victory over so and so or over the enemies of this or that !

I personally very much enjoy the role playing aspect of our club as well and will continue, at my discretion, to proclaim both victories, and defeats, in the Rhine Tavern as I have always done. I leave it to the discretion of the readers as to whether they wish to read the writings of my Hanoverian personae and participate in the role playing banter, or not.

The views of the "Mad Hanoverian" are decidedly different from the views of the Club President. I never confuse my roleplaying with reality, although there are many who do. Rolepalying is simply not suitable for everyone.

As far as this thread goes, it does not bother me in the least that Stephane won a victory, and that Al is proud of him for doing so. This is just another form of Al roleplaying his position as the LGA CinC in my view. It does not offend me in the least, as there are no personal attacks involved.

I do understand the confusion that comes to some from reading other people messages to know if they are role-playing or not.

Maybe we could have a "roleplaying" tag

Role playing is like writing a letter when I say I, I am not role playing but being personal but when I say Monsieur am playing out the role of the Prinz de Monte Cristo vice Rey de Titit Austrian Feldmarschall MPT 3rd Huzan!

Salute!

Ah, Helga, more bottles of wine here for our celebrating of Marechal Lelievre's victory, as L'Empereur's eagles are draining their glasses as quickly as they can be filled. :frenchdrunk:

Such camaraderie is surely worth noting among the noble sword foes of the dangerous battle maps. :frenchcool1:

Regards,
