With great hope I feel that this Tavern is not the place to put Armies victory but natural ground. Where all officers come to drink an share battle experiences. Maybe it's time to get back to "I walked into the Tavern and saw my vanquished foe, setting with his head down, drowning in his beer". Not the LGA daily report that is the reason for Pie Tavern. Or will this become a pissing contest!

We are all members of the same club and victories should be shared without putting down ones foes! In addition to this we all have friends on both sides of the battlefield. We are not really enemies!

Battle On...

Salute!

A measure of the neutrality of these events (and events they are!) is the number of officers from from both sides of the hill who post to congratulate the hero of the moment. :frenchcool1:

Regards,

Is there a way to do it like a weekly or monthly report? It is tough to find non-French awards threads because there are so many. I have been gone for nearly a month and the board is giving me a headache!

Thanks

Hi Jim, this is a quarterly report - done after the recently completed LGA muster. :frenchsalute:

Does it need to be so many threads? I understand people like to be recognized but surely it can all fit into an organized post?

Salute!

That is certainly a reasonable request.
I tried to do that with the Reserve Cavalerie awards/promotions.

Thanks,
I do like to see awards, promotions, victories, etc, but I like to read a list in one post. I will not read all of these threads (nor attempt to parse the French), but I do read the reports if they are all together.

My sons are done with their naps and are requesting me to post a smiley, and they have chosen this one:

:frenchcharge:

Just maybe the French can come up with a short story on how they beat their allied or French opponent?
