Le Chevalier is all attention when the Red Nemesis mentions something about drinks.
Even the Scribe stops momentarily scribbling in his journals to look up expectantly.

Well then, nothing like helping to deplete the coffers of the Coalition army, whether from the spoils of supply trains from the battle maps, or the purses of their officer corps.

I'm sure the ancien regimes are proud of your efforts on their behalf in keeping the revolutionary zeal of equality, liberty, and fraternity from their castle keeps.

Pay no heed to the French claims of their 'noble' cause to liberate mankind. They are no more than butcherous brigands who rape, pillage, and plunder every country they invade in their impossible quest to sate the avaricious need of the diminutive Corsican to rule over all living creatures, while proclaiming himself to be a god.

I was laying on the beach when I learned that a allied officer was advanced but did he win a battle ? Never the less it woke me from my long vacation that's only ten blocks away on the Texas City dike. Bravo mon ami may the imps menacing children run for cover.
