I'm still searching for a standard set I can use for my games.
At least from the experience I had in the Civil War series I'm sure that the defense needs to be "pimped" by the way of doing manual defensive fire, that works good in the CW series as you still can play in similar to a turn with the additional automated defensive fire but in the Napoleon series it leads to the need to play phases and so do multiple mail exchanges to get a turn done.

Another thing is "No Retreat Overruns" what basically means that your skirmishers can block any escape of a battalion although they are usually much much smaller than the enemy battalion and shouldn't be able to stop it so this rule doesn't sound very realistic.

With the exception of the no retreat overruns, that looks like what most players use. I like it a little different but I think I am in the minority (I like rout limiting and the optional fire/melee off).
