Gentlemen,
After much deliberation and some delay, or was it some deliberation and much delay, or was it much inebriation and, well, you get the picture, myself as Commander of the Austrian and Prussian Corps and General David Guegan, Commander of the IIIe Corps of the La Grande Armee, announce the 2015 Austro-Prussian VS IIIe Corps Challenge 2015.

The format is simple-one round of head to head games, 2 points for a major victory, 1 point for a minor victory, and the side with the most points wins!

David is going to set up a website in the near future to track the games and their progress, and I have arranged the matchups, attempting to match up ability/experience with the games people own. Each pair gets to choose their own battle but we are encouraging the Prussians to play as the Prussians and the Austrians to play as the Austrians, as feasible. If anyone needs suggestions please let me know. We are recommending scenarios of around 30-40 turns in length and hope to be completed within six months. Please let me or David know if you have difficulty reaching your opponents and David and I will be contacting all of you within the next week or so.

Without further ado, it shall be (and forgive me for leaving out ranks and first names at this point)

Billieres vs Fredel
Ellwood vs Schmidt
Paoli vs Alberti
Hornsby vs Virts
Dodge vs Perleberg
Bursh vs Celemanka
Zinno vs Lastowicka
Mossier vs Pfluecke
Guegan vs Seeney
Guegan vs van Hattem
Rossi vs Stefanowitz
Matthews vs McDonald

Please note that these pairings were revised on 2/26.

Best of luck to all.

Congratulations on a great initiative. The Officers of the Russian Corps would welcome a similar challenge from our opponents in the LGA.

The Prussian army should look forward to a Multi- Player game also in the future. Bon chance to my old Korps III LGA the best Korps in the LGA. Maybe the LGA should play a maneuver to see who is the best !
