Officers of La Grande Armée and the Allied coalition.

I wish to bring to your attention the promotion of Général de Division Baron Mark Oakford, Comte d'Autun to the command of the 3è Division Cavalerie Légère, attached to the IIIème Corps.

Général Oakford has done sterling service both as a Regimental officer and more recently as commander of the 2è Brigade of that formation. He thoroughly deserves this acknowledgement of his ability and his dedication to l' Empereur.

I would ask you to join with me in offering congratulations to an officer who is esteemed not only by his comrades in arms but also by those who face him across the field of battle.

Gentlemeen, I give you the new commander of the 3è Division Cavalerie Légère, Général Mark Oakford.
