I have been inactive for alomst a year now, but was wondering if it is possible to start playing on the French side? Somehow I am just unable, compared to a lot of my other fellow Allied officers, to play defensively in the Battleground system. It really brings down my enthusiasm.

So, Mr. napoleon, do you want another officer?
Do I need to get permission?
I have no problems resining my rank.

Sure you can switch sides but your first battle as a Frenchman will be Aspern-Essling! [:D]

Ok - just joking - just contact your CO - they will take care of the preliminaries.

Ah ah ah.Why not join Prussia ? Because they fight very well in 1806's campaign [:o)] Because they were not able to win alone at Leipzig and if we speak of Ligny,I can only laugh, laugh and laugh. They just tooke a wrong direction on June 18th. This is the only glory of Prussiain Napoleonic era.

Erwin made the right choice. French Army are the best of the army :
- the more numerous
- with the best players (may be Geert need to be transfer in.The door is open for you Geert[:D])
- An army of friends
Of course, you have some duties such as a monthly report but it's easy to do and you can win some points with it.
If you win some VPs you will be able to join the French Guards (the best of the best unit of Napoleonic era) andyou will be able to become Baron, comte, or also Grand Duke or even Prince. Really, french army is the best place to be.

Allied officers !Join French Army !
Eh Stefan and Scott, see that I can make some publicity for my army as well.

HAHA!! French, what a joke!!

If you never want to see the light of day again or hear from anyone, go be a Frenchmen!! [:D] They'll put you in a post in Savoy. [:p]

By the way Yann, what was this whole we need all sorts of German Rheinbund troops?? Polish?? Italians?? Neopolitians?? Spanish?? Eh?? [:D][:p][}:)][;)]

Betrayed at Ligny! Your losses were heavy and burdended your cause. Leipzig?? How many Allies did you have and you still lost?? [:D] BTW Prussian Landwehr was the first into the city!!

At Ligny we kept our promise, we would come to Wellington's aid!! We did...we don't abandon our Allies, the way your beloved Emperor did, not once, not twice, but yes thrice!! [:p][:D][8D][}:)]

We offer all that you do too....just not Savoy!! [:p][:D][}:)][;)][8D]

Sorry Scott but I would say : If you never want to see the light of day again or hear from anyone, go be a Prussian! Remember that your uniform is black, your flag is black, the name of your Commandant begins by "B" (Blucher)like black. All is black in the Prussian Army. You are the army of the night.
And about victory, remember Jena, Auerstadt, ... ah ah ah ah :the glorious Prussian Army [:D][:D][8D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]

The french army have the colour of the sky. Uniforms are blues, sometimes white and what about the various colour of the hussards. We have several nationalities in our army in the real past like in this club. It's because we are kind with all. We accept anybody so far he is a good officer.

Join French army is the best way to go the victory.

Vive l'Empereur

You harras us about using our Allies...so did you!! [;)][}:)][:D] It's ashame The Grand Prince of Warsaw died when he did, he would have been a great asset to your cause!! [:D][;)]

In fact you know I speak from two sides of my mouth....[;)][:D]

Erwin,

Anglo-Allied officers can play reversed games without resigning their comission. Currently playing Barrett in NIR: Kutusov Turns to Fight as the French.

Just finished a pair of mirrored PTW: Quatre Bras games where we both took the French in one and the Anglo-Allied in the other. BTW, I highly recommend doing this. The play fast and it is really fun to walk in the other guys boots.

Cheers,

Switching sides is enjoyable. Helps both sides enjoy the battles more IMHO. As the Allied you get to see some of the problems that the French has. And as the French you get to play with the greatest army in the games - Austrian of course!!! [:D]
