Napoleonic Wargame Club (NWC)

For those of you who have been PBEM'ing for some time you will know what I mean when I say that MP games are for the most part a risky venture. Many times they die off without result or start off with a bang and then peter out. (No offense Bill [:p])

In November 2005, General Fuller (I Corps ADN Commander) and I took on Generals Andreas Naujoks and Stefan Reuter in Al Amos's Hide'n'Seek scenario. A 216 turn monster with all the Eckmuhl forces arriving as reinforcements on opposite edges of a massive map.

Tonight we will complete turn 79 and amazing as this sounds, there has not been a major engagement yet. Some jousting and cavalry engagements to be sure, but no major battles as yet.

Now it seems as if Teugn/Hausen will be see some action as Davout has drawn a line in the sand and dared his Austrian counterpart to stop playing in the bushes and come out and fight. Like men in tights the Austrian Landwehr seem content to frolic in the woods rather than fight like men [:D].

With Austrian hordes seen massing on the horizon, I am sure they will soon discover their mettle and venture forth. We can't wait !!

More news to follow, or perhaps another viewpoint from the enemy ?

" Some jousting and cavalry engagements" ? Sounds nice. But I think the loss of more than 5000 Cavalry and 9000 Infantry of your French bastards is a bit more than a small engagement.[:D]

We better have some time. I have been marching all over this huge map. Overrun one (yes 1) Austrian supply wagon, lost some scouts (and took some), but otherwise have never seen anything at less than 3 km!!!

John - you guys promised me a fight! I'm tired of marching! You Austrians come and die at my feet as proper of the lessor armies!

And stop hiding in the woods!!! This is not the American Revolution and your not minutemen!
