WHen I have some free time, or there is a lull in turns from opponants I enjoy an occasional game against the A/I with my HPS Eckmuhl, Waterloo or NRC.

After watching it send Cavalry into the woods or through streams, accross pikes and embankments, it occured to me that an A/I friendly map may make such games a little more interesting.

Is it possible to create an "A/I" map, that contains no disruptable hexes ? No forrests, no towns, villages, streams etc ?

I'd be happy to do the work if there was a way to do it.

I read Bill & Rich's instructions on SUB Map making, took a 50 x 50 CLEAR section out of that huge Bavarian map, and set up a battle between Davout and the Austrian I, II and Reserve Korps.

No trees, rivers or other disruptive terrain, so the A/I pretty much stays out of trouble and actually reaches the French line with most of his forces in good order.

Am not very clear on the A/I scripts or other parameter data, but will continue to fool around with this and make the "Easy A/I" scenario available to anyone who wants it.

Good fun when you are waiting for turns from the enemy !

The AI scripts may get overridden at times by events on the battlefield. The AI may decide to not move the units when the enemy is barring down on them.

You will have to experiment a bit to find the right feel. Any questions you have I will be happy to answer.
