As there has not been much feedback on this .. Iam looking to go ahead with the next step.

A vote on the Acceptance of the new rules site.

The vote will start Sunday night at 18:00 and last for 7 days.

Rules for vote are as follows:

1 - One man, one vote
2 - Only active officers of the armies can vote.
3 - Your vote is either Yes or No and your post must include
your full signature
4 - Simple majority vote.

John,

It's a great site that you clearly put a lot of time and effort into. I'm just a little unclear as to what we are voting on. Are we voting on making this site the official depository of the NWC's Rules or are we voting on the acceptance of particular rules?

If the former (Approving the site), I don't believe that a vote is necessary. The actual "location" for where the Club's rules are kept is an administrative matter that should only require the approval of the Cabinet. If the latter (Approving the rules themselves), I'm unclear as to whether you want a vote on the whole package of rules or just the ones listed as being updated, e.g. Rule 4.3 and Rule 5.4.

BTW, I've posted a couple of comments on the Rules Forum about two minor issues I found.

Paco makes a good point....

The reason I wanted a vote is to ensure no one felt I was overstepping my boundries as President...

I can put it this way...

Unless I hear serious objections.... The rule site I put up will become the "law of the Land" as of Monday January 22, 2007
