Ed Blackburn and I just completed turn #300 in our Eckmuhl in one battle campaign. I wonder if anyone ever did so many turns of a single game? My earlier Eckmuhl and Waterloo campaigns usually were decided at a point somewhere between 100 and 200 turns, usually around 150.

I reached turn 380 with one player. Its been many years and I cant remember who it was. In one of the large Jena scenarios we got to turn 360 or more.

We heartily believe in keeping email servers busy! [;)]

I got to 200 turns with a guy before he quit...a shame too, as there was a tremendous amount of fighting left to be done in the battle. [B)]

Tomasz and I are in turn 305 (or so) in the huge historical Jena battle. I am guessing we have 30-40 turns at least to go as we square off for a final battle north of Auersted.
it has been really fun and tense. Two pitched battles that were phyric victories for the Prussians.

My congratulations to both of you. I've never had a game beyond about 100 turns and that one lasted about 18 months. I don't think I would have the patience or commitment for such a monster game.

Bob,
I'd strongly recommend you to try one of the big scenarios from Jena.
We've been playing it with Jim in 12-14 months or so but it's really fun every turn! [:D]

I'm finally close to avenge the two disasters his Prussians have given me [}:)]

Don't know about number of turns but I am in my 3rd (I think!) year in an Eckmuhl Campaign. We are both happy leisurely gamers[:D].

Forgotten how long some of my snail-mail Dippy games went on (I was in various countries in Eastern Block, Africa, Middle East etc).

Silver surfer?

I don't think I've ever fought a game into the 300 turn mark. Probably because I've severly beaten my opponents way before then. [:D][:p]

The game with Dierk is by far the longest I have ever played in any of the clubs. [:D][8D]

Al is referring to the number of dogs (250) he has whipped into submission on his mail route.

Oops, here comes the postal delivery person now. I had better put Brutas in the garage as she has a tazer! [:D][:p]

So that's where Brutas transferred to! She has a tazer now!?! Wow! I thought she was tough with her night stick. Tell her we miss her in Tulsa. BTW, so why do you put her in the garage when she comes by? [:p]

I've never been beyond 95 turns in a Napoleonic scenario (against Dierk) and 123 in an ACW scenario. My tactical style usually has my opponent bored to death long before then.[:D]
