Napoleonic Wargame Club (NWC)

Hi all,

I've difficulty to find an allied officer for a Jena long battle. I'm wondering if the reason could be that the game is perhaps not well balance enough ...

How do you feel the Jena scenarios are balanced in general ?

what are the scenarios that you feel are well balanced or giving advantage to the French or to the Allied ?

Personnaly, I'm engaged in two of them:

- The "11x Battle of Karlsburg What if" scenario that I feel difficult for the French due to the great defence ground of the allies.

- the "Jena AuerStedt 05h2" scenario that I feel quite well balanced but with a slight advantage for the French due to their outnumbering.

Mon Colonel it’s not that there are no Allied players to be had, its that cases in all clubs bad recruitment that’s all! Every one wants to be a winner!

I have played many of the Jena scn. and find there is a good mix of scn.
I think whats happening with you is the time of Year. Many of the guys in the club are getting ready for there family trips..
I have seen the club slow down at the end of May until the end of July .. for the last 5 years.

But i am sure one will come a long soon.[;)]

Hi Gents
I have played the Jena - Auerstedt large map a few times now and my latest attempt is as Prussians vs Marechal Bardon.

We are playing under patch 1.02. I think it is a tough scenario for the Prussian player. I have won every time when playing French vs some fine players so I wanted to give the Prussians a go.

I have of course got an excellent opponent in Jeff which is making it hard for me. But one things for sure I would not play it under patch 1.03 as this increased quality and stacking increases the weight for the French to much IMHO.

I am hoping I can do well in my game vs Jeff but in reality to secure a major victory for the Prussians vs a good French player no matter how good the Prussian player is may be impossible which inclines me to say its not balanced.

But never the less in case you read this Jeff it is a most enjoyable game and I still plan to try a wip your Frenchies [:D].
