Yes, I'm in that situation too.

And is there a way of organizing the data into playing and finished games?

I would recommend the system is changed to remove the need for confirmations. The old system did not have it and ran smoothly. Also it's double the work now everyone must login where is one person could do it before.

No criticism of the overall gadget though some superb effort here. Thanks a lot.

The solution is to present the problem to moderator and if he trusts your claims, he has the possibility to skip the confirm phase. Thus opponents who are not so keen to confirm a loss (or just stopped playing but forgot to do it in a civilized manner) will not block the process or make the game invalid.

The double confirm is just to help the moderators so they will know that if both sides confirmed they can pretty much accept the result without much thinking and checking.

Current solution is the best and will not be changed:

No confirms required from the other side: lack of hint for moderator that both players are happy with the result, less chance to catch badly entered result, cheaters may attempt to register false result and get away with it if mod will be unaware.

No mod acceptance, just confirms: two players can spoof as many false games as they want and this will be noticed way too late, with database already polluted.

I see no problem here, there is just a bit of delay but what we get is that the database is safe and moderator effort is reduced to minimum.

An update on all the comments I have received on how the battles are displayed on the Records site.

Dominik will be looking into this at some point next week.. after he gets Windows 7 installed on his machine at home.

Stay tuned

I have quit a game after 10 turns and the other player gets a major victory; the reason why was because he felt that I shouldn’t blown up the bridges in the game then it was some bridges and that the rules we agreed on kept being added after the game was on its way. I felt that I should not have to put up with this and stopped the game before it got out of hand so if he wants a major victory for that up to the NWC!

Actually since there was a bug that caused battles to be not displayed if they were not in the 25 newest battles, I pulled some extra time magically out of thin air [;)] and did an update to the site. You can now view active/completed/canceled/registered battles on separate lists. I hope you like it. There are also some enhancements for moderators as well.

@clifton seeney: have you reviewed what choice was given to you by the club rules (http://www.acwgc.org/NWC_Club_Rules/), section 5.4? I think what you got was "Battle resignation". Maybe you could have striven for "Mutual resignation" so the battle result would be recorded differently (as draw for example)? Of course that's just a hint, I'm not the power here who decides the fate of players :) That discussion actually should belong to other thread, this one is for technical aspects of the site.
