Hello,

I may be losing my CD drive. E: keeps giving me Startup Errors

Good new is I have a F: CD Drive.

Bad News is I do not know how to make the game play from that drive or make a single disk that all games play from.

Any help is much appreciated.

Paul, here is a url for creating a single disc.

As for the drive problems, I'll have to leave it to someone more computer literate to assist you with those.

You can also rename your E drive to be F. But you first have to reassign a drive letter to the bad drive so that E is available.

You go into the Control Panel.

Open up Administrative Tools.

Open up Computer Management.

Pick Disk Management. Wait for it to refresh the list of drives.

Find your CD rom drive that is giving you problems. Right click on it and pick Change Drive Letter and Paths. Click on Change. Pick a drive letter not in use. Click OK. Follow the directions (sometimes you have to reboot).

Once the bad CD has been reassigned a new drive letter change the drive letter for the good drive to be the same as what the bad one was using. Reboot if neccessary.

I have XP Pro so your path to get to Computer Management may be different. And yes, there is probably a command prompt way of getting to it as well.
