Napoleonic Wargame Club (NWC)

Gentlemen, Messieurs,

Rustem Riza has opened a list of NWC members active in Les Gognards, I want to do the same for Napoleon´s Campaigns. The reason is that I own this game for a year now but have not done more than roughly going through the tutorial. As I want to become more active in the NWC I was looking what games beside the HPS games are played mainly. It seems that NC has not got many friends here. So maybe it is useless to get familiar with this game. I had the impression that the game has a great potential, but as always I prefer playing against real opponents instead of manoeuvers against the AI.

If there are some people interstead I would like to start a manoeuvre, or in case any French officer dares to take the challenge against a member of the Anglo-Allied army, I wont hesitate an be ready for an engagement on the battlefield.

I own it also, and I actually opened a thread, looking for an opponent.

Sounds good. Pity that I first have to get familiar with the game again before I can start a pbem. But I will let you know when I am ready and maybe we might start a pbem then.

I have the game. Was unable to attack with a group of French units so I bailed on the game but plan on figuring out what I did wrong sooner or later.

For Club Games: I prefer the Single Phase mode of play. I prefer to play with the following options OFF:

MDF, VP4LC, NRO, MTD, CMR, PR, MIM, NDM, OMR (ver 4.07)

As soon as I have more time, hopefully the week after Eastern, I will go through the tutorial and then we might start a pbem for testing. Trying without FoW so we can help each other in case of questions will show if the game is worth playing. As we have got it and it is accepted here it would be nice to use it instead of putting it somewhere in a backward edge of the game box.

@ Christophe: Please give me time to do the tutorial. Then I will be ready to take the challeng and get slaughtered on the battlefiled like a bloody young recruit running into the fire without any idea what to do

Christophe and I are playing turn 13 of Polish campaign now (16-turns-campaign). We will soon have a winner of this pbem - or two winners as we play in mirror mode.

We are in another double game with Juergen, the 41 turns long Prussian Campaign, but I would not mind getting involved in another one.

Any scenario and any side suits me except the massive Spanish campaign. Any allied officers interested?
