I see that when it comes to the Nap wars before 1800 no one knows the answer am sure that someone has a idea, what happen in Egypt! And how come we don't have any games on Egypt or the many battles before Tu be became Emperor????
Perhaps someday in the future Cliff. I, tu, er, too, would like to see Egypt burst into flames as the Mameluks pound across the sands of the pyramids with the wind blowing in their face and the sound of cannon blasting upon their ranks! (is that romantic enough Al?)
Currently busy working on four games (sheesh, and updating the four I have done) so who knows ...
Trying to fit these smaller campaigns into other games as Egypt alone we feel would not fly as its own title. (sounds of camels charging across the sand and the French Dromedary corps coming to an oasis ...)
The Russo-Swedish War of 1808-09 also fits into this category. Too small for a title of its own but deserving of treatment too. Similar to the obscure Dutch campaign of 1799 too. You name it we are trying to do it ...
Early battles of the Rev Wars (Jenappes, Fleury, etc) also a quandary ... I doubt that we could put them into their own title ... they would have to go in with a game on the later Rev wars. Later updates would include more maps and battles as we find time to do them.
My all time obscure campaign is the Swedish war on Norway. I found some uniform information the Norwegian army. Have you folks ever seen anyone build a Norwegian army for miniature games? Talk about low grade troops ...
Still being that I am of Swedish origin I found it interesting and sent along a uniform link to a friend of mine that has painted up all of the Swedish army in 25mm. He may decide to add in the Norwegians to his collection (over 20k casting and counting ...).
I also found an interesting site on the army of the Kingdom of Sardinia. Now talk about obscure ... uniform pattern for the army was like Prussia of the SYW.
So much to do but so little time ...
