Yes, I do recall that to be true about you fine French cavalrymen. As a matter of fact, I also seem to recall your sword tip resting ever so gently on my chest as you eloquently informed me that it might be in the overall best interest of my health if I handed you mine. Not a terribly big loss, as I am prone to use my rifle much more effectively anyway. It was more the whole indignity of the matter you understand.

I hope you don't mind if I seat myself so that I am facing the door. I seem to have evoked the emnity of a British Brigadier Goodwin at the moment. Some slight mishap on the training field a few days back. An unfortunate sequence of events that was beyond my ability to control.

General Guegin, I would invite you to take part in a series of battles that General Knox and I have been discussing. We will call it the Struggle of Nations, a tournament for those who are not faint of heart. We seem to have more Coalition officers than French at the moment. General Knox is in need of more brave, French officers with which to surround himself on the field. Why you ask? Well to protect him from me, of course!

Whew, I must admit this French wine does pack a powerful punch. It seems to have gone straight to my head. :? :? :?

Herr Ludwig - Colin told me the other night that as a counter to you starting up the Swedish army that the French HQ has decided (drums rolling) to start up ... (more Drums!) ... the TURKISH ARMY!

Why? Because all of the French officers need a BATH!

Honestly, we need the Turkish army. Very colorful uniforms. And it would give the French an army to use to fight the Russians and Austrians on another front. Not that the Turks were really close allies of the French but they were certainly not in the Russian or Austrian camps and the British they regarded with suspicion. And rightfully so!

Can the British really be trusted? Wasn't there a British shop set up at La Haye Sainte that sold spices - it is the real reason why the French lost the battle. The men, not having had the spices in years, traded their muskets and ammo for them. Cinnamon, you name it, that shop had it. Frobisher's Diner I think it was called.

Ah yes the Mighty Sultan's Army!

I do think the French need their trusty "allies"....

But yes those spice shops were a crafty setup....but do yu know how many stopped by the pretzel & beer hall we setup in Placenoit....that is why they didn't want to leave....

PS - Nice Frobisher reference... 8)

Speaking of our redoubtable Muddy Marshall, how is he faring on the boggy Belgian fields? Surely he must be closer to claiming your sword by now, Selin Knox.

Really? To think our esteemed  and honorable  enemies would stoop to something so sophmoric as vandalism.....

Oh, wait, not a big surprise at all. As the eagles fly triumphantly across the capitals of Europe, the coalition is left to collect their mighty pigeons and vainly hurl them at the unstoppable force that is the Grande Armee.

Cute, mildly amusing, but overall, as blatantly silly as the reactionary cause they have chosen to uphold.

"You see, I told you the venerable Marechal of the Vieille Garde would eventually wander in", says the Hanoverian Commander as he slides a newly fllled glass of Margaux in front of Marechal Bardon. :D :D :D

"You really must try this, sir. Flavorful to be sure, but a little lacking in impact for my taste."

"I actually thought that you considered all Coalition officers to be barbarians. If such is actually the case, sir, then you give us an inordinate amount of credit for our skills in sabotaging your Army's fine web page.....which was rendered much finer in my mind by the addition of your Empyreal Pigeon Corps. Tell me Marechal, are these feathered fowl also under your direct command?" :P :P :P
