Antony,

In the 1690's a gentleman from York, with the surname of Amos moved to what would become Maryland. Now some thirteen generations later his namesake types this.

My wife won't have anything to do with me, that's why I am trying to get a date with Jim!

[Man, I hope y'all know that I'm just kidding!]

Our local train station is even Waterloo. To the south is the small port city of Picton west of it is Nelson and south of it it is Blenheim the provincial capital of Marlborough.

A Frenchman in this most English of place names. My favourite nearby street is called Maadi place.

As I know your wife reads these boards you had better hope she doesn't catch you calling her a "broad!" :D

You will be peeling potatoes for months.

(when I read this I immediately flashed back to a scene from the movie "Laura" where Clifton Webb is trying to dissuade Gene Tierney from tying in with Dana Andrews, "he once gave a broad a mink fir ....")

In a semi-completely non-sort of related topic.....I was traveling this past week and was in the airport and the flight at the gate next to mine was going to Oklahoma City and they were paging customers for last boarding and as they said their names I started thinking in my head...."Al Amos to Gate 3....Al Amos to Gate 3...." :D Amazing how you think of the Club and the people in it.... 8)

Central NY, less than 10 miles from Rev War sites Fort Stanwix and Oriskany. Die-hard Red Sox fan (despise the Yankees with a passion). Also a Bills and Islanders fan. So I have been fairly miserable this fall, LOL.

Haha Bill. Yes its seems ironic indeed. However as I am a student of Napoleon I shall never betray the cause

I live in Wellington too... (it's the name of my neighborhood)   I have always though it was ironic for me to live somewhere named after an obscure Englishman.

Obscure Englishman...... what the? You French officers really are in denial aren't you. Just stay where you are General Guegan, I am sending my therapist over right away, just as soon as he returns from Wellington, New Zealand. There is a poor French officer over there who has proven to be quite a tough case. He has a third very challenging subject residing in Massachusetts at the moment as well. The harried doctor is, however, accumulating quite a mass of frequent flyer miles tending you delusional Frenchmen.

I live just outside of Boston, Massachusetts.

I have lived here for about 20 years, which is by far the longest time I spent in one place, ever.

Quite a few of us are from around here and in New England.

First of all Boston, in my humbled opinion lol, is the MOST existing city in the Northeast, forgetting to mention all the pretty ladies you have running around with those caaaaaarrr, baaaaarrr acccents lol

I think it's great that sooo many of us chaps, live in the New England area. Maybe one day down the road we can all meet up.... :D

Ernie: You're training my brother (Well half-Brother), Robert Whalen, over at the ACWGC, he says you're kicking his butt, lol :P
