Napoleonic Wargame Club (NWC)

It is nearing dusk as the red coated Commander of the Hanoverian Brigade enters the tavern accompanied by the green clad Commander of the Hanoverian Field Jagers. The uniforms of both officers appear a bit frumpled, but their spirits seem to be in good order as they walk across the room to join one of their fellows at their usual table.

“Ah, Captain Phillips”, says the Hanoverian Commander as he takes his usual seat, “I am very glad to see you relaxing a bit after your recent victory.”

“Yes, I thought a libation was in order, sir”, grins the blue coated Hanoverian Commander of Artillery. “It was a tough fight to be sure,” he says as he pats the French sword which is lying on the table. “I was just waiting here for Lt. Bianchi to reclaim his weapon in the fine tradition of our brigade. I have already logged its capture with Generaal Bijl.”

“Excellent”, exclaims the Hanoverian Colonel. “You do our brigade a great service in your honorable conduct toward our respected, French adversaries. And while we are on the subject of honor and brigade tradition, I think it is high time you were given a nickname similar to the one that Lt. Peccolo recently adopted. Hmmm, let me see", he says as he eyes the enemy sword lying upon the table, "what would you think if we started calling you Der Falke (The Falcon) for the swift and deadly manner in which you descend upon your foes and snatch the very swords from their grasps?”
